The Demand

There’s a growing demand among all walks of life for plant based options. Every year we see more p.b. options heading to the shelves in shops and more plant based restaurants, bars opening up in city centers and beyond.

Plant based options are suitable for lactose intolerant, flexitarian, pescetarian, vegetarian, vegan and many religious groups. Also, obviously omnivores will eat anything that tastes good.

People want to consume more sustainably, ethically and healthfully. Sadly they don’t know how, nor do most institutions with a menu (Hotels, Hospitals, Universities) or restaurants.

Plant based culinary culture is new and therefore not many have the expertise.

That’s where the Plant Based Consultant steps in.

Plant based options contrary to some myths are the cheapest. Especially on large scale.

Most of the world eats mostly plant based, although not by choice, but because that is the cheapest option to feed many mouths and still be nutritionally adequate.

This is true for Whole Food plant based options. In the meantime processed alternatives are also becoming cheaper as the demand grows.

Demand – supply.

The Cost

The Environment

Sustainability and eco-consciousness is on our mind.

We hear of many environmental problems. Biodiversity loss, habitat loss, desertification, ocean acidification, extreme weather..

Climate change!

Where are the environmental solutions?

Dietary impacts of plant based eaters were

25.1% of high meat-eaters for greenhouse gas emissions

25.1% for land use,

46.4% for water use,

27.0% for eutrophication and

34.3% for biodiversity.

“What I eat doesn’t matter”

Said 7 billion people, who ate 3 times a day. Every day.

Well.. It does.
